Quem somos

A fundadora Katrin Bokelmann deu vida à Atlantic Rainforest Rescue Alliance, uma iniciativa que visa combater a destruição contínua da Mata Atlântica no Brasil. Katrin cresceu no coração desse ecossistema único e testemunhou décadas de devastação. Seu amor profundo pela Mata Atlântica a inspirou a utilizar seu conhecimento como designer de paisagens sustentáveis e amante dos animais para desenvolver uma abordagem inovadora. Com uma vida inteira de convivência com diversas espécies animais desde a infância, Katrin compreendeu as necessidades e funções ecológicas desses animais, e isso desempenhou um papel fundamental no desenvolvimento dessa nova abordagem.

Para nosso grande pesar, Katrin faleceu de forma totalmente inesperada em julho de 2023. A perda dessa pessoa especial é incomparável.
Katrin dedicou toda a sua energia, seu compromisso responsável, sua capacidade de sempre abrir novos caminhos e seu grande coração para aumentar a compreensão e a conscientização dos maravilhosos seres da natureza.

Ela acreditava que a Mata Atlântica, com todos os seus incríveis e lindos seres, poderia ser salva se todas as forças fossem unidas e as ferramentas certas fossem fornecidas para facilitar o trabalho. A capacidade de regeneração das florestas tropicais é enorme.
